Who writes Elefy's guides

Elefy Editorial is a team, not a single byline. We publish under the team name rather than rotating individual authors because every guide is a collaboration across the people who deal with Thai rentals every day:

How we research and review every guide

Every Elefy guide goes through the same editorial process before it is published or updated:

1. Draft from primary knowledge.A housing specialist drafts the guide using Elefy's own platform data and direct experience with Thai rentals, not second-hand summaries.
2. Fact-check against the law and the market. Legal points (deposit caps, early-termination rights, TM30 duties) are checked against the current B.E. 2568 (2025) Residential Leasing Regulations; prices are checked against live listings.
3. Local review. A team member based in the relevant city reviews the guide for anything that does not match what tenants actually experience there.
4. Date and maintain.Each guide shows a “Last updated” date and is revised when laws, visa rules, or market prices change.

How we source first-hand local knowledge

Our experience comes from operating a real rental platform in Thailand, not from desk research:

• ‣Booking and listing data. Rent ranges and district comparisons draw on real verified listings and bookings across Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya.
• ‣Verified landlords and hosts. Every landlord on Elefy completes identity verification, and their feedback informs what we write about contracts, deposits, and handovers.
• ‣The Elefy community. First-hand neighbourhood and living tips come from renters and locals sharing on the Elefy community.
